FEMALE|TRIAD

A website dedicated to help educate people on the 'Female Athlete Triad', and to also provide solutions for active women who are looking to change their health habits for the better. 
The Female Triad consists of three parts:

1. Low Energy

2. Low Bone Mass

3. Missed Periods

Each of these symptoms are usually caused be a female burning more calories than she is taking in. This comes from the idea that calories are all created equal, and that the best way to maintain weight is to limit your intake.
Low Energy:

One way low energy in women can happen is from burning more calories than you are intaking. This can happen as a result from exercising at rates that burns more calories than the amount a person is eating; or, this can also come about from eating disorders that 


With calories - like diamonds - quality is the only thing that matters. If you are a calories conscious person, you must retrain you brain to start to look at food differently. A 100 calories from broccoli will be used by your body very differently than 100 calories from a soda. Your body will use broccoli efficiently, using those calories to fuel your body; on the other hand, your body will store the 100 calories from a soda for fat.
Low Bone Mass:
